THANK YOU!!! I watched her show last weekend with my daughter! I was so inspired: I made mocktails, a cake and watched the entire season. We had a ball. My daughter who is 26 was explaining all of the controversy. My daughter said to me, this is how I grew up; you hosted parties all of the time. My question to all the naysayers...what are Black people allowed to do? It amazes me that we can not live. I watched Martha Stewart when I was younger, I wasn't a white middle age woman but I liked her recipes and her tips for entertaining, I watched the doc on Harry and Megan to learn more about them. I don't like the Royal family so I was curious to see what they had to say, eye opening. How she lived in England past a day is a miracle. If you don't like her, don't watch the show. It's not that deep. I appreciate the people who are speaking out against her, it shows me who you truly are and what you're about.
I’m happy she is out there Inspring people, and happy you have such a great time with your daughter. I was scrolling on Instagram today and saw a video of comedian Nicque Marina’s rant about this and I was rolling because it was 1,000% accurate. She said something like: people are uncomfortable in seeing Black women in a context outside labor, and I think she nailed it. If you want to watch it (it’s a little salty, so fair warning 😊):
