Today marks a big milestone in my household: my daughter just crossed the threshold into teenagehood, marking the 13th anniversary of my journey into motherhood. She is my firstborn, and our life together has been a rollercoaster ride with breathtaking highs, a few gut-wrenching drops, and 100% worth it.
Motherhood opened me up to a world I didn't visit very often: a place of wonder, freedom, and constant comedy, bringing a set of emotions that could fill an encyclopedia. Ask any mother, and they'll say that their love is infinite and could light up the universe, yet it's fraught with anxiety and worries. So, with Mother's Day just around the corner, I think itβs fair to say that mothers (and anyone who steps into those mothering shoes) deserve a little extra everything.
You might have caught my last Mother's Day gift guide, but this week I've come up with my own wishlist to commemorate 13 years in the trenches. It's a mix of doable, indulgent, and just plain out-there things that I've been daydreaming about. Scroll down to check them out.
