In the mad dash for wealth and success, so many of us have this unshakable belief that happiness is just one more promotion, one more bonus, or one more shiny new toy away. We throw ourselves into our careers, eyes glued to the distant horizon, convinced that once we finally arrive, joy will be there waiting for us with open arms and a cocktail. But somewhere along the way, something precious tends to slip through our fingers: the ability to find magic in the small, everyday moments.
This week, I had the pleasure of working with someone who reminded me of how powerful that sense of wonder can be. His childhood? Humble, to say the least. And yet, he wears his story like a badge of honor. His curiosity, fun, and—above all—gratitude was contagious: all of the sudden everyone around him was in a good mood, lighter, and happier.
