In 1999 she studied New Technologies at Paris 8 University, participated in the startup frenzy by working for Canalweb (the first European IT TV) and obtained a Masters in New Technologies, magna cum Laude, in 2002.
In 2003, after the Internet bubble burst, she published her first book under her real name, Virginie Michelet, and started a carrier in journalism (Cosmopolitan), writing (Éditions l’Archipel, Patrick Robin Éditions) and ghost writing (Éditions Michel Lafon, Héloïse d’Ormesson, private contracts). She published over twenty books.
In 2010, Clara Feder became her artist’s name, and she started an international career as a multimedia artist, exhibited in Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Shanghai.
In 2016, Clara, with her husband Michel Gutsatz, relaunched Le Jardin Retrouvé, an artisanal and family run Haute Parfumerie House founded by her in-laws in 1975.
As Creative Director of the brand, she leads the brand’s creations – giving the brand its artistic dimension. She recently revolutionized the traditional fragrance experience, creating an immersive space enabling the customers to experience perfume in an artistic way.
